You can take the girl out of the city…

I suppose that it is important to give my point of view on this whole project.  Unlike my husband, Steve, I grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta.  My “great outdoors” experiences consisted of Girl Scout camp, and playing in the back yard. Because I have three brothers, I never even had to mow the lawn.

My father is a child of the Great Depression, however. He instilled in me a sense of frugality.  Watch your pennies and always save for a rainy day. We were reusing and recycling before it was “cool”.  Even now, sometimes I drive Steve a little crazy because I save everything. A Little about the Cheese

I was raised in Wyoming’s third largest city, Sheridan Population 17,500.   I could drive 15 minutes and see moose feeding in beaver ponds.  I joined the Army’s Elites Rangers in my second year of college where I stayed until I was injured in 1993.  Shortly after separation from serving my country, I started working for a local Internet Service Provider.  I decided to call it quits after 10 years, not because I wasn’t making enough money but because I was tired of stress of dealing with my then partner.  Continue reading
